Announcing the 2024 Book of Mormon Art Contest
The Neal A. Maxwell Institute for Religious Scholarship is seeking original art created by BYU students for the 2nd Annual Book of Mormon Art Contest. Artwork will be featured in the new Book of Mormon Art Catalog, in an art display on BYU campus, and winners will receive prize money. Deadline: June 1, 2024.
2024 Contest Categories
Book of Mormon art showcasing underrepresented figures/scenes: Such as Morianton’s maidservant, Shule, Nimrod, Omer, Jared, Riplakish, Lib, Shiz, Abinadi’s doctrine, Mormon, and Moroni together.
Book of Mormon art demonstrating unique stylistic and technical approaches: Including nonrepresentational, animation, abstract, textile, mixed media, linocut, photography, ceramic, embroidery.
Book of Mormon art highlighting unexpected heroic figures: Moroni as the last Nephite, Nephite daughters saving their people, Hagoth, King Benjamin helping his people.
