The Neal A. Maxwell Institute for Religious Scholarship is seeking original art created by BYU students for the 2nd Annual Book of Mormon Art Contest. Artwork will be featured in the new Book of Mormon Art Catalog, in an art display on BYU campus, and winners will receive prize money.

There will be 9 winners selected: 1st place, 2nd place, and 3rd place overall winners, and then 2 honorable mentions in each category. BYU Provo students only. You may submit up to three entries (one per category) until June 1, 2024. Please do not submit AI-generated or assisted artwork. See the previous year's entries here.

The purpose of the Book of Mormon Art Contest is to help students enrich their faith in the Book of Mormon and to add breadth/depth to existing religious artwork. By creating artwork inspired by the Book of Mormon, participants are encouraged to reflect on its teachings, stories, and themes, strengthening their testimonies. The Maxwell Institute's mission aims to gather and nurture disciple-scholars, and the art contest encourages students to engage with the Book of Mormon in a new way.
