Several volumes from the proceedings of the Latter-day Saint Seminar are now published and available for purchase on Amazon. Each of these volumes includes the speeches/essays from each seminar.
The Latter-day Saint Theology Seminar is based on a novel idea: that Latter-day Saints do theology. Doing theology is different from weighing history or deciding doctrine. Theology experiments with questions and advances hypotheses. It tests new angles and pulls loose threads. To this end, the Seminar regularly organizes interdisciplinary, collaborative, theological readings of Latter-day Saint scripture.
The Latter-day Saint Theology Seminar is sponsored by the Laura F. Willes Center for Book of Mormon Studies. The Seminar is held once a year, where scholars and students come together to discuss a particular chapter in the Book of Mormon or standard works.
Although the Maxwell Institute is not the official publisher of the volumes, we've enjoyed a long-time collaboration with the Seminar. We hope you enjoy these volumes!
