The start of a new school year triggered thoughts about new beginnings. The ability to start over and begin again is a core belief in the gospel of Jesus Christ. Although there are numerous ways that new beginnings are represented in the gospel, I love to study the first beginning.
One of my favorite beginnings to learn about is the story of the Creation. It’s beautiful to think about the imagination and detail that went into designing every organism on this earth. As a form of appreciation for the variety and beauty on this planet, I started compiling drawings of plants, animals, and birds of all kinds.
The multitude of creatures in this piece are just a few of the many drawings I’ve developed featuring different aspects of nature. This is a personal project that will go on continuously, but for now, “New Beginnings” is a representation of the love I have for all that was made for us.
