Rosalynde Welch is an independent scholar of Latter-day Saint literature, theology, and scripture. She holds a PhD in early modern English literature from the University of California at San Diego. Her scholarship has appeared in BYU Studies, the Mormon Studies Review, the Journal of Book of Mormon Studies, and numerous edited volumes. She is a member of the Institute’s advisory board. While visiting the Maxwell Institute during the summer of 2019 as recipient of a short-term research grant she will develop her manuscript on the Book of Ether for the Institute’s forthcoming series, Brief Theological Introductions to the Book of Mormon. She is based in St Louis, Missouri.
