Don L. Brugger is managing editor the Maxwell Institute, where he has worked since 1996. He studied English and journalism at Utah State University, graduating in 1984 with a BS in English and a teaching certificate in secondary education. After teaching high school English and journalism, he earned an MA in English from Brigham Young University. His 25 years of editing experience include stints at the Los Angeles Times, Deseret Book Company, and the Ensign magazine, as well as 9 years as a BYU adjunct faculty instructor in editing. At the Maxwell Institute, he was managing editor of the Insights newsletter, production editor for the Journal of Book of Mormon Studies, and associate director of publications. He has been the main editor for the Book of Mormon Critical Text Project since 2004 and production editor for the Mormon Studies Review since 2007.
